Where do you shop?

For your business that is.

You know I’m a stickler for the business being liable for its own debts, with no personal guarantees!

One of the easiest ways to start building that credit is by being strategic about where you shop.

Here’s a list of companies that sell products or services most businesses need.

They usually report your ON-TIME payments to the business credit bureaus, like Dunns & Bradstreet, Experian Business, Equifax Business.

  • Uline-Shipping, packaging, industrial + janitorial supplies

  • Grainger- Industrial, maintenance + facility management supplies

  • Quill- Office supplies, electronics, and breakroom essentials

  • Staples Business Advantage- Office supplies technology, and furniture

  • Newegg Business- Electronics, computers, IT equipment

  • HD Supply (Home Depot Pro Institutional)- maintenance repair +operations

  • Crown Office Supplies- Office supplies and various business essentials

It is important to verify with the credit department before setting up an account as reporting policies can change. As of now, these report.

Also, eCredable (incredible if you ask me) allows you to link and report recurring business bills (utility, phone, internet) as tradelines to D&B, Experian, and Equifax.

If you are strictly using revenue from your business to pay your business expenses (which I hope you are) and on time, then it is no reason why your business can’t get the credit.

Build a strong credit foundation, and more access to funds will come. The ability to grow and scale with ease will come. Having lower interest rates, will come.

And you will stop being personally liable!!!!! 😁

I watched it in real time. A woman wanted to talk about renovating her home and what she wanted, and what was important to her, well at least that is what she attempted to do. She barely got a word in.

I guess her ideas weren’t to the liking of the contractor, and he started going on and on about other things she could do, and what would be better. Maybe he was trying to get her to spend more money. I am not sure. I do know she didn’t walk away as excited as she was when she first walked up. He did not get the business.

Some of us have to realize, that there is a whole other world well many, outside of the space between our ears. It’s not always about what WE want. When it comes to clients and customers, it’s ALWAYS about what they want, and if you can help or not.
